let's go, baby
Aiden is picking up words & phrases faster than you can say "cover his ears".
As we were getting Aiden ready to leave the house - we were putting on his socks, which he knows is the precursor to going out - he said "Let's go...baby".
That had us in stitches, but we soon started wondering who/where/what he picked that up from, since none of us speak like Cassanova, nor do we have any songs/books with that line.
Other linguistic and less incriminating milestones:
1. counting from 1 to 18 non-stop (in an earlier entry, we mentioned that he counted "1, 2, cha cha cha, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9...etc")
2. using "too" or "very" interchangeably to describe various things. e.g. "it's too/very loud/bright/hot/hard"
3. "howzy work?" - i.e. how's it work, when he can't figure out how to use/destroy the latest item he's discovered.
4. "clever boy!" (followed by enthusiastic clapping) - When he completes narrating a nursery rhyme, or the alphabet, or manages to complete a puzzle.
5. "helpful boy!" - when he helps to tidy, put a toy into Elliot's bassinet, or a similar helpful task.
6. "not a toy" and "not for babies" - self-explanatory; quotes derived from parents/grandparents.
Looking forward to seeing his vocabulary grow...we just need to watch what we say more carefully!

Aiden was a little tired today... woke early and had a lot of playing to do. Sleepy sons make for good cuddles.
