stroller addict
Aiden's taken to pushing his stroller himself (talk about making a baby sing for his supper).
It started out as a cute gag, "How cute if we let Aiden grab the stroller handles", we thought. We would cradle him on his front with his arms stretch out, Superman-style, and let him grab the handles. We became quite adept at navigating the stroller via Aiden, and of course passersby would coo or wave, fuelling our already inflated Our-Baby-Is-The-Cutest-ego, and encouraging more SuperStrollerBaby action.
But lately, we noticed that when Aiden is in our arms and within a 1m radius of the stroller, he would stretch his hands toward the handles. If we don't let him, he gets a little grumpy.
We gave in at first, thinking he'll get bored quickly, since babies have the attention span of a gnat. But we were wrong. After 15 minutes of carrying a 10kg+ baby and navigating a stroller, it was us that were tiring of SuperStrollerBaby action, not Aiden. He on the other hand would be grabbing the handles firmly and looking very...businesslike (he doesn't smile like it's fun, he tends to look very serious, as though he were navigating a million-dollar fighter plane).
So for now, we still let Aiden drive his stroller, but only occassionally, when our biceps aren't burning.
